Just before publishing this video I received this note from Katheryn and thought I'd share it here: "A few last words... I'm not sure that I made it clear, but I identify as ME: mark-one, model-one-point-five, Katheryn.not a TG [transgendered] or TS [transexual] person. Some people who walk a similar life-path to mine get into putting labels upon themselves like Trans or Genderqueer. The only ones I wear are pretty common: Mother, Daughter, Loving Partner, Friend, Co-worker, Teammate, and Goof-ball.I am pretty much like everyone else, only different. ;-)." For those that are interested, Katheryn also suggests the following book: "True Selves: Understanding Transsexualism--For Families, Friends, Coworkers, and Helping Professionals" by Mildred L. Brown and Chloe Ann Rounsley. "I think it is a fantastic resource, and utilized some of the info in it for my own transition. A lot of the other books tell nice stories, but this one presents many points of view of many years of working with individuals, families, and co-workers."
