I can relate to Sherin. I was the little girl wading in the creeks, scooping up crawfish and catching fireflies. I met Sherin not too long ago, during one of my first forays into a comic book store. I was aspiring to be the geek that she already is, and was looking for comics with good stories, whose female characters were smart, tough, and not named "T and A." Sherin overheard my entreaty to the man behind the counter, interjected with some suggestions, and I've been on the right path ever since.
