I interviewed Ismail back in October of 2008. I recently got in touch with him and he reports that he's doing really well. Ismail added in an e-mail, "I have had no attacks or episodes in the last seven months (a major first). For anyone who has gone through the sorts of things I have gone through, therapy is everything. Everything. It will help you gain your life back...I cannot understate how important it is to someone who has undergone trauma in their life." Ismail also suggested the book "Waking the Tiger: Healing Trauma" by Peter Levine for those interested in learning more about trauma and PTSD.
