The League bloggers have created the NFL Twitter Aggregator that brings all the NFL player's tweets to one place. The interesting part of this project is that you can filter by team and by position. NFL Twitter Aggregator use the Twitter API and imports the tweets from player's accounts into a Django database. The difficult part of this project was not the technical issues, that was pretty straight forward. It was verifying every player's Twitter account to be sure that they are really who they say they are. Washington Post producers or interns (a vital part to this project) have contacted each player directly or through the agent to check the identity of the tweeter.
